Statistics

please note that the current year data is not up to date at all times. Further the data is not strictly correct until after the end of the year calculation.

Lost Time Injures

There are 2 primary types of Lost Time Injures of note.  They are MSHA and OSHA Lost Time Injures.  Any worke done on a Mine or in a Gravel Quarry is under MSHA, all others are under OSHA.  This is measured with the OSHA or MSHA Lost Time Incident Rate.  Lost time means that a worker was not able to return to work for a period of time.

Reportable Injures

There are 2 primary types of Reportable Injures of note.  They are MSHA and OSHA Reportable Injures.  Any worke done on a Mine or in a Gravel Quarry is under MSHA, all others are under OSHA.  This is measured with the OSHA or MSHA Reportable Incident Rate.  Reportable means that the worker had to visit a doctor or was treated by a professional, but was able to return to work the fallowing day.

Total Incident Rate

This is simply the combined total of the Lost Time and Reportable Injury rates.

Some Notes

  • OSHA statistics for industry averages are only available through 2009, so our charts flat line at this rate, until OSHA updates there statistics.
  • 2010 is listed twice in each graph due to an incident that will be removed from our record. Until it is removed both rates will be shown.
